To any Aussie shoppers affected by the Amazon Kindle kerfuffle: Sign up for Shopmate https://shopmate.auspost.com.au/ It's free if you just use it to purchase eBooks, like I do. (For physical items, they'll charge commission.) It gives you a US address and phone number. It'll mean Amazon will geo-block you from purchasing Australian items, so you'll have to switch to an Australian address if the ebook you want hasn't sold US rights yet. Same goes for ebooks you just want to view info for or add to your wishlist. It's done through Australia Post, so it's legit. Spread the word to every Australian you know who reads ebooks.
